Abstract
An interpretation of Teilhard de Chardin's vision of cosmic evolution is beyond the scope of this paper. However, if an understanding of Teilhard's attitude toward suffering is going to be attempted it is of necessity going to have to occur within the framework of his evolutionary confluence. Therefore the highlights of his vision must be at least sketched to act as guideposts in this study.
