Abstract
This study of the relationship between the attitudes and conduct of ministers of the Lutheran Church in America in the Milwaukee area was not undertaken as a means of supporting, indicting or apologizing for the actions of these ministers, whatever they may have been. Instead it was pursued as a means of exploring the complex relationship that exists between attitudes and behaviors in an attempt to understand better the factors that come into play between the formation of the attitude and the manifestation of that attitude in overt behaviors. By gaining new understanding through this exploratory study it is hoped that new insight will be given for further study.
