Abstract

Some children seem so much more creative than others. Educators seem to think these "gifted"' students were endowed with creativity where others just weren't. Creativity is a way of thinking and acting that is natural to the makeup of all human beings. It's a style, an ability that has been nurtured in some students and squelched in others. All children can be creative. All children have ideas, emotions, and feelings. In a favorable, natural environment these ideas, emotions, and feelings can be expressed in writing. Children need to be stimulated and motivated to write. The students need encouragement, guidance, and a planned writing program.
