Abstract

The individualization of learning is one of the foremost trends in the field of education today, developing out of an ever increasing realization of the uniqueness of each student. Education is seen more as a preparation for life rather than a simple imparting of knowledge. These developments of thought in education have brought about a number of practical approaches to educational policies; the role of the ~ the teacher advisor or teacher counselor is an example. The purpose of this paper is to .study the role of the teacher advisor and indicate how it can be utilized in the school setting.
