Abstract

A cursory acquaintance with Amos and Hosea, eighth century B. C. writing prophets, gives the impression that there are sharp contrasts between the messages of these two men. A more extensive study, however, reveals more similarities than differences. It would seem that the key to the proper understanding of these Old Testament writings is the word "development." The following instances support this view.
