Abstract
A statement made at the Congress of Religious held in Rome in 1950 11 • the religious life with the three vows is the full development of personality . .. 11 ( 32 : 18 ) was seen t o be at once a challenge and an assurance. For those engaged in the instruct ion of religious candidates i t proposed the challenge of selecting procedures and techniques of training that will bring about this desired effect . For the religious herself it offered the assurance that there need be no dichotomy between the full flowering of her own personality and the complete oblation demanded by her vocation.
