Abstract

If all the individuals involved in a school organization are to work together in peace and harmony in a relationship lacking conflict, each must understand what is required of him as an individual and what he is expected to contribute to the joint effort of all staff members. This can be accomplished only if the administrator in charge of a school has set up clear and concise lines and methods of communication which reach out to every segment of his staff. Inefficiency and disorganization in school operation frequently find their cause in inadequate communication between administration and faculty levels. The use of poor communication methods weakens the structure and effectiveness of the entire staff performance. The purpose and intent of this study, therefore, is to determine which methods of communication are commonly preferred in varied school situations by both faculty and administration.
