Abstract
Do you value who you are as an unique individual in and of your own right? Are you happy to be alive and glad to be you? If you can answer these two questions in the positive then it is likely that you have a healthy self-concept and have a head start to experiencing life and relationships to their fullest. But, if there is anyone in the world that you would rather be than yourself, you probably are suffering from a low self-concept (McDowell, 1984).
