Abstract

On the evening of November 29, 1830, in Warsaw, a group of Polish Army cadets and revolutionaries attacked the residence of Grand Duke Constantine Romanov in an attempt to assassinate him. This incident was to spark the beginning of the Listopad Powstanie (the November Revolt) in the Congress Kingdom of Poland. The uprising was to last from November 1830 to August 1831.
