Now There Is Beauty And Other Poems
A Thesis submitted to the Faculty of the Graduate School of Marquette University in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the degree of Master of Arts, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Abstract
In this collection of original verse I have been permitted to include the following poems published during the two years of graduate study: "Now there is beauty", and "This Christmas Day”, published in The Catholic World; "laudate Pueri Dominum", "Profession at Candlemas", and "Broken Song", published in Spirit; and "Of Death", published in the Wisconsin Anthology. Since beginning the preparation of this thesis the poem "April Silence" has been accepted for publication by The New York Times; "Interval" by The American Mercury; and "Tb a Certain Benedictine", "Mary Sings", and "Nor Plato nor Aristotle" by The Catholic World.
