Abstract
This history of the Press cannot be considered complete. The writer did not believe it necessary to explore all available sources of information, but interviewed in person only those who figured prominently in the founding and development of the Press. In collecting the data he made a trip to Chicago, where he interviewed one of the founders, and the dean of the College of Journalism at the time the Press came into existence. He personally interviewed one of the organizers at Beaver Dam, as well as a number of Milwaukee people. In addition to the interviews with those associated with the organization in the past and those connected with it at the present time, the records of the Press were studied.
