Creator's notes: I recreated the arch enemy of the Joestar Family, Dio Brando, from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure in cosplay but with a genderbent twist! I LOVE a good villain and quickly feel in love with the swarthy, vampire, Dio in the Stardust Crusaders series. But anything a man can do a woman can do, so I made him a her in this cosplay. All elements were hand sewn by me and the street sign was made from insulation foam and pvc pipe.

I am a huge Spidey fan and really was visually drawn to the Meanings artwork of Mark Heresy. In reading the inspiration of the piece it brought up so many memories of my husband and I talking with other fans and friends about hidden meanings or Easter Eggs in our favorite anime and manga, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Having secret ideas or thoughts with other fans in a fandom can also bring out some really exciting deep meaning conversations what ifs and that's what led to me creating Lady Dio! Because how cool would it be if the main villain was a female?
