Creator's notes: Star Trek emphasizes the concept of a found family, and Star Trek Voyager exemplifies this theme well. This art piece captures the crew uniting to celebrate Captain Janeway's birthday. Inspired by "The Last Supper," the image portrays Janeway not just as a Captain but as a revered leader, maternal figure, and friend to Voyager's crew.

While this event of Janeway's birthday was never depicted on screen, it symbolizes subtle changes such as Kes remaining aboard alongside Seven of Nine (now in a Starfleet uniform instead of a catsuit) and Harry Kim receiving the promotion he had long deserved. The artwork underscores the theme of found family within the crew, illustrating the deep love and loyalty they hold for their Captain.

Comments

I was inspired by Reverie - an alt retelling of what was canon on the series. While this event (Janeway's birthday) never occurred on screen, it highlights subtle changes such as Kes remaining onboard along side Seven of Nine (replacing the catsuit for a proper Starfleet uniform) and Harry Kim earning the promotion he deserved. It's my love of the cast and crew of Voyager that inspires me to create something that is expanding on the the in universe canon of the show, and hopes to spark conversation and discussion around the show with other fans, an alt-retelling of the story we all know and love.
