Creator's notes: I chose the medium firm pastel to create what I envisioned firstly on looking at the photograph and then also reading about it. One of us humans injecting our water with toxins after carelessly popping a balloon filled with air (another element being polluted) with the needle. Many of us ignoring our natural needs. How dare we create toxins and spread them across our beautiful planet. How dare we dump oil and pollution into our ancient oceans killing wildlife. How dare we use politics and wars to claim something that isn't ours to claim? How dare we think these things are okay. What are we going to do when we have no more drinkable water? How is it that we seem to forget we need water to live? We ALL need water to live.

Comments

I love water. I love being in the water; swimming and practicing Yoga in the lakes, etc. I never want a day to come where I cannot do that anymore. Water is my safe haven.
