Abstract
An Interactive Control systems Simulator (ICS) for control engineering education is presented. ICS contains an interactive block diagram editor with which arbitrary linear control systems can be constructed for a library of predefined nonlinear plants. The time response of the constructed system is simulated with animated graphics, and data can be collected for display with the ICS plotting facility. This paper describes the structure and use of ICS and presents two examples.
