Conference Information

Conference Dates

October 15–17, 2027

Host Institution

The conference is hosted by the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Studies Program at Marquette University in collaboration with the Arab and Muslim Women's Research and Resource Institute (AMWRRI).

Conference Venue

The conference will be held at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Specific buildings, room assignments, campus maps, and parking information will be announced closer to the conference dates.

Conference Format

The conference is planned primarily as an in-person event at Marquette University. We strongly encourage presenters to participate in person to foster scholarly exchange, networking, and engagement throughout the conference.

Limited opportunities for virtual participation will be available for presenters who are unable to travel because of visa restrictions, funding limitations, or other exceptional circumstances. Requests for virtual participation will be considered after proposals have been accepted. Additional information regarding virtual presentations will be provided to accepted participants.

Registration

Registration is required for all conference presenters and attendees. Registration will open prior to the conference. Information regarding registration fees, deadlines, payment instructions, and conference check-in will be posted here once available.

Travel and Accommodations

Information regarding recommended hotels, transportation, parking, dining options, and local attractions will be posted as it becomes available. Visa support letters for international participants requiring travel to the United States will be provided upon request after acceptance of their proposals.
