Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how students' individual grades in BSN courses associated with their medical surgical, fundamentals, and pharmacology raw HESI scores. The average of three HESI scores were calculated and recursive partitioning and regression trees were used to identify associations between course grades and the composite HESI score. The model results provide insight into assessing student progression and can help in implementing tailored remediation strategies.
