Abstract

In the past two or three decades mental hygiene as a distinct science has advanced with rapid strides and has extended it's beneficial influence into other fields. Thus it has to a great extent permeated the educative process. The writer has taken one educational problem out of the many and has tried to show by means of original data that questioning as carried on in the classrooms today may promote or retard mental health. She has drawn heavily on many sources both in the field of mental hygiene and pedagogy and is deeply grateful to all whose works have helped in the exploration, if not in the solving of her problem.
