Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to show that Eichendorff was an historian, not withstanding the fact that he is best known as a romantic lyric writer, and as N. Schneid, S.J., in the Catholic Encyclopedia says, "Das Bleibende der Kunst Eichendorff sind seine Gedichte."
