Abstract
The purpose of this investigation to determine the historical significance of the critical term "felt thought," to investigate its validity, to show its relationship to the salient points of the current discussion of metaphysical poetry, and to hint at the possibility of finding, at least intermittently, bridges over the fissure of disassociated sensibility.
