Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to note and study the use that Browning had made of music and musicians in his poetry. Such excellent interpretations and sound knowledge of the as were evidenced in Abt Vogler, Master Hugues of Saxe-Gotha, A Toccata of Galuppi's, and Charles Avison, presented to the writer a field in Browning's poetry worthy of comment and discussion.
