Abstract
Stuttering can be reduced about 50% with five successive readings of the same material. Since the 1950's, this phenomenon has been found to occur in spontaneous speech. It is the purpose of this study to determine the amount of reduction in the number and type of dysfluencies in spontaneous speech in the presence of the stutterer's own speech therapist.
