Abstract
The main purposes of this study are to provide future students of broadcasting with, 1) a fundamental understanding of criticism per se, 2) a brief discussion of the history of newspaper criticism from which Jack Gould's philosophy evolved into its present form, and 3) a selective annotated compilation of Jack Gould's literary contributions.
