Abstract
Indebtedness for early training at the Hedgerow Theatre School sparked the research for the present study. I have drawn heavily upon my experiences as a professional actress of fifteen years; as a student of Jasper Deeter and Rose Schulman, the originators of the school; and as a student of other acting techniques, which act as a control element and basis for comparison. I hope these experiences will illuminate some areas not as likely to be realized by the academic student without such theatrical participation and training.
