Abstract
This study attempts to show the author's levels of presenting man and God to a modern society through the physical, the metaphysical, and the theological in three of his plays, Gideon, The Tenth Man, and The Passion of Josef D. In these plays he has integrated these elements with the philosophical and has tried to understand human nature from the point of view of God and man as well as man's concern with his fellow man, using the levels and the milieu of society.
