Abstract
The primary purposes of the study are to determine the characteristics of the Catholic magazine press with regard to: the educational and professional backgrounds of their editorial staffs; the methods whereby these publications are financed; the general salary structure of Catholic magazines; the relative amounts of time which the editorial group spends in producing these publications and in other work; and, finally, the reasons why these editorial workers entered the field of journalism. In addition to these general topics, such statistics as contribute to a more detailed analysis of each will be presented.
