Abstract
In statistics we are very often confronted with the problem of finding the properties of various distributions, such as the Bernoulli, Poisson, Lexis, Polya and other distributions. Use can be made of the characteristic functions, thus making it, possible for us to substitute for the complicated trials several basic schemes.
