Abstract

This thesis is concerned with some previously uninvestigated characteristics of samples from the hyperbolical cosine and logistic parent population sets . In particular , the problem will be to determine the distribution of the sample means of these sets, and then to investigate the possibilities of existence of a Chi- squared distribution for the logistic set . Almost the entire thesis consists of previously unpublished material which will account for the lack of footnotes .
