Abstract
This thesis has for its object, the investigation of the modulus of rigidity. The value of this modulus, for a given material, is greater when determined dynamically than statically. The observations by the author were carried out in such a manner as to determine, by experimental evidence, a cause for this variation and the effect in the modulus when different stresses were applied to the material tested.
