Abstract

This thesis discusses the development and calibration of an Ebert type over-under mounted high resolution spectrograph, suitable for the examination of the hyperfine, structure of atomic spectra in the ultraviolet and visible range. Information is given on the operation of the instrument, and its properties are listed, so future investigators will be able to use it to its maximum potential.
