Abstract
The problem was that of designing, constructing, and calibrating an ionization chamber and indicating unit that could be used not only by itself but also in conjunction with a Dershem Electrometer as the indicating unit. The unit was designed for use in x-ray diffraction and radioactivity experimentations. The chamber is so designed and constructed that it may be used with various gases under pressures up to forty pounds gage thus making the chamber a versatile instrument for nuclear experimentation.
