Abstract
A system was assembled to study the effects of adsorbates on the ionic conductivity of silver bromide thin films as a function of temperature. The experimental apparatus and techniques for the use of equipment necessary for this study are explained in detail. One sample of the silver bromide film, which is deposited epitaxially on a cleaved mica substrate giving a {111} crystal structure surface, was then tested to verify that the results obtained with this newly assembled system were reasonable. Preliminary values which have been obtained at Marquette University are then compared with those which have been found at other laboratories.
