Abstract
A question that constantly arises is, How to utilize a computer to statistically analyze a set of data? A computer system 'along with statistical packages has eased this process; from data entry to statistical results. Summary through inference statistical analyses are discussed in relationship to three statistical packages; Minitab, SPSS-X and BMDP. Finally, referring to the adage, 'a picture is worth a thousand words', graphics are used to confirm the mathematical results. One will discover that with the aide of computers, the drudgery of hand calculating statistics is antiquated. Some statistical problems done by hand are necessary in learning applied statistics. Yet, with many practical problems one can get lost in a maze of tedious calculations. By using a computer package to solve these problems one can concentrate on the concepts of statistics.
