Abstract
Since the very beginning of chemistry, a constant and unending search has been made by those concerned for an easy and reliable method of separating chemical compounds. Though many techniques have been developed and utilized to accomplish this end, probably chromatography still remains the most efficient one. Naturally there are many variations within the general field of chromatography, and my thesis will attempt to deal briefly with some aspects within the area of thin layer chromatography.
