Abstract
Crystal Violet(CV) is a dye and biological stain which finds use as an acid-base indicator. It has also been found to form a complex with DNA. The exact acid-base behavior is not fully understood, nor is the structure of the CV-DNA complex known. In this thesis, I shall attempt to resolve both of these questions through the use of Resonance Raman Spectroscopy.
