Abstract
The shrinkage and expansion of waxes and wax mixtures is a field of work extremely old, and still invitingly new. Although man has been using waxes for centuries, the latest articles and books are regretting the fact that the systematized data concerning waxes is so very scarce. The chief reason for this is due to the fact that wax samples vary somewhat because of their sources and methods of purification. This variation is within limits that are not too very far apart. A number of theses at Marquette University have dealt with wax data. These served as a starting point for the present research.
