Abstract
Mercury has long been known to affect kidney function in man and other mammals. However, the increasing concentration of mercury in our waterways brings with it the question of whether or not mercury also affects the kidneys of fish. This thesis will investigate the effects of sublethal levels of mercury on the renal function of a freshwater teleost.
