Abstract
In this study an effort was made to determine the average value of clinical-experience hours of nursing students in one college of nursing. Determination of this value was baaed on estimates made by supervisors and head nurses in the several departments of the home hospital. The total number of hours of graduate-nurse and nurse-aid service needed to replace student hours, during one year, were estimated. The values of clinical-experience hours in each department, and at different levels of student achievement, were computed. In this study, the mean of the estimated values was accepted as the average value of student clinical experience hours in the home hospital during one year.
