Abstract
This essay contains an historical review of literature on the spiritual dimension of man in relation to man's holistic being. An analysis of the literature is presented followed by assumptions with which theorems are proposed. The theorems are used to show the relevance this concept, "the spiritual dimension of man," has to the discipline of nursing on a philosophical and practical level. As a leaf turns to the sun As a moth circles a light So Man is drawn to the Spirit.
