Abstract
Hospital safety programs are a relatively new endeavor when compared to those effectively carried out in industry. The recent cognizance of hospital management toward the benefits derived from the establishment of a successful program has resulted in expanded efforts in this direction. This study attempted to investigate the attitudes of one particular group of hospital employees toward safety in their own work-situations. The writer could not have completed her research without the cooperation of the hospital aides in Nursing Service at the Veterans' Administration, Wood, Wisconsin, because it was with this group that the study was conducted.
