Abstract
A self-instruction module designed to assist the nurse in developing psychosocial assessment skills and in planning effective interventions in order to help adult cancer clients cope with the stress and anxiety of chemotherapy treatment. The module is divided into sections which include the concepts of stress, anxiety and coping. Following these are sections which include specific suggestions for the nurse on assessment and intervention. Each section is followed by related questions and answers.
