Abstract

One of the major problems in orthopedic surgery is the treatment of malignant bone tumors. Recently cryosurgery has shown promise in this area. This thesis will develop a cryounit to make this type of cryosurgery easier and more effective. Mathematical models will also be shown to model the freezing curves of bone.
