Abstract
This study examines the statistical differences in trip generation rates among Milwaukee high, medium and low residential density areas. Using data from 1991 0-D survey, six subareas representing Milwaukee high; medium and low residential densities were tested. The tests included overall and cross-classification comparisons according to the variables of household size, vehicle availability, and number of employed persons. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences among Milwaukee high, medium and low residential density areas in terms of trip generation rates.
