Abstract
The goal of this thesis is to design and construct a system to measure the tonic contractions of the canine colon. This thesis describes the design and testing of such a system. Chapter one contains the introduction to the thesis and the problem statement. Chapter two provides the system's specifications and design. Chapter three discusses the methods used in testing and results obtained from the tests. Chapter four contains the discussion of the results and the conclusion.
