Abstract

The use of digital computers for multichannel pulse-height analysis is becoming more and more prominent. This thesis describes a computer-based system which was built to do this analysis. Data obtained from scintillation detectors is analyzed in an analog- to- digital converter and stored in the 8-k memory of a Sigma-II computer. The entire system is described. Details of the interface between the computer and the converter are included. Also included are flowcharts and programs for data storage and printout.
