Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to compare the load capacity of a two span crane girder predicted by an exact analysis with that calculated using the conventional method of analysis. Only combination sections (consisting of WF shapes and Channels) as listed on page 1-59 of the AISC Manual, 1963, have been considered.
