Abstract

This study deals with the effect of Non-Linear Hysteretic springs on the transient response of torsional systems to impulsive loading. Transient Responses of such a system and response spectra are developed using a digital computer. An experimental setup was constructed and tested to check the system performance. The test results closely confirm the theoretical predictions.
