Abstract
This investigation was concerned with the section gap acceptance phenomenon at right angle intersections comprised of an uncontrolled, two-way, two-lane major street, and a stop sign controlled, two-way, two-lane minor street. The objectives of the study included development of a simple but accurate method of section gap measurement, additional investigation of previously studied aspects of the gap acceptance process, and determination of the effects of certain variables on section gap acceptance which at present do not appear to have been studied.
