Abstract
In this thesis, through magnetic field energy concepts, expressions are developed describing the Q, the quality factor of rectangular, cylindrical, and reentrant cavity resonators. After this, the effect on the cavity Q of electron beam loading introduced into the cavity resonators is studied. Lastly, laboratory results will be given and a comparison between the experimental and the theoretical results as well as the results of others in this area shall be given.
