Abstract

This paper seeks to identify the relationship between direct investment by multinationals and regional integration in the third world. After establishing a theoretical model for the phenomena the study will undertake a case study of Japanese investment in Southeast Asia and the formation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
